He's growing fast

Our little boy now enjoys sucking his thumb, standing (with a bit of help from us), splashing in the bath and smiling. Yay. We're enjoying all of that, too.

Smiles...and more smiles

Our gorgeous little boy is smiling. It seemed like a long wait for the first one but it was worth it. My heart still leaps whenever the corners of his mouth start to curl up.

We are still dealing with a few issues of pulling off the breast during nursing, much to the frustration of Manaaki and the Mamas. I've done a search on the web tonight and found some good information so hopefully we will sort it out.

In the meantime a few smiles make up for all of it.

Maybe the boy has colic, maybe he just likes to scream till he's hoarse.
Either way, it's hard to watch.
